Nutritional Challenges and Complications in Patients with Cystic Fibrosis- Explain the definition and describe the prevalence of small intestinal bowel overgrowth and distal intestinal obstruction syndrome among patients with cystic fibrosis (CF). Evaluate the role of the CF null mouse in exploring the pathophysiology of gastrointestinal disease in CF. Describe the relative deficiency of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) in the tissues of patients with CF and the ability to reverse this process with supplemental omega-3 PUFAs.
